The Guild Hall Gets a Fresh Coat of Varnish
The Guild Artificer wipes sawdust from his hands, sets down his tools, and surveys the hall — new timbers in place, old parchments freshly inked, and something new bolted to the wall by the door.
There's been plenty of hammering and scribbling in the workshop this past turn of the moon. Here's what's changed around the Guild Hall:
The Edicts Have Been Re-Carved
The Guild's founding words have been re-inscribed above the hearth. The heart of them hasn't changed — respect, safety, and a fair go for everyone at the table remain unshakable — but they've been tightened and clarified so nothing gets lost in translation. Take a moment to read them over in the Guild Lore & Edicts hall whenever you pass through.
Heed the Call: The Guild's Booking Hall Opens
A new door has been built into the Hall — Heed the Call — where adventurers can now claim their seat at the table directly. The system recognises members by their Guild account, so no more juggling names on scattered lists. Signing up through this door also means accepting the Guild Edicts, so give them a read before you take your seat.
Signing In, Signing Out, and the Guild's Watchful Eye
For everyone's safety, a sign-in and sign-out ritual has been added at the booking hall — and a sigil (QR code, for the uninitiated) now hangs by the door for quick check-in when you arrive. These records are kept only briefly, clearing themselves from the Guild's ledgers after twelve hours, and a six-digit ward-word has been set aside for organisers should they ever need emergency access to the records.
A New Seal for the Guild
The Guild Artificer's workshop has been busy at the forge, too — seven early designs for a new Guild seal were put before the members for a vote, and from the favourite, eight further variations were struck. Two strong contenders now sit on the workshop bench, waiting for further refinement before a final seal is chosen.
Bit by bit, the Hall keeps growing sturdier. More news to come as the wards continue to settle in.
